With only a morning to myself I took the Jaguar XK8 on a drive retracing part of James Bond’s journey from London to the Kent coast from the Moonraker novel. I had a great time trying to squeeze this into a morning so if you enjoyed the video let me know and I’ll try to do a few of these in the future! Route taken: – M25 westbound leave to join M26 and subsequently join M20 – Leave M20 junction 6 towards Maidstone on the A20 – Follow A20 out the other side of Maidstone towards Lenham and subsequently Charing – At Charing roundabout take the A252 towards Canterbury – At Chilham take A28 towards Canterbury – Upon entering Canterbury you hit the Wincheap roundabout, take a right to navigate around the city wall, then take a right at next roundabout to head away from Canterbury on the Old Dover Road towards the A2 – Stay on A2 all the way to Dover but taking a left towards Deal after the Premiere Inn and Shell Garage – Follow the Deal Road and take a best guess at where the Moonraker base should have been 🙂
